I’ve been using computers since I was about five years old. As a teenager, I stared to feel like it was time for me to expand my knowledge and find a way to enter the computer technology field. I started attending classes at Sacramento City College in the Fall 2017 semester. I have been taking classes to work toward graduating with an AS in Computer Information Science Security. I am also working towards getting my CompTIA Certificate as well as the CCNA and Microsoft Azura certificates. I became an intern at Computers 4 Kids through a program called Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). I signed up for the program when I was still in high school. WIOA is designed to help you find employment, education, training, and support services that will help you succeed in the labor market. They also match employers with the workers that match the skill set they need. I was given the option of working at Computers 4 Kids as an intern. I was told that I would be helping the community while expanding my computer knowledge. I thought it was a great opportunity, and so I gladly accepted the position.
