Our Techs: Leopoldo Ramirez

Leo RamirezI became an intern at Computers 4 Kids through a program called Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). I signed up for the program when I was still in high school. WIOA is designed to help you find employment, education, training, and support services that will help you succeed in the labor market. They also match employers with the workers that match the skill set they need.

I was given the option of working at Computers 4 Kids as an intern. I was told that I would be helping the community while expanding my computer knowledge. I thought it was a great opportunity, and so I gladly accepted the position.

Working at Computers 4 Kids has been a fantastic experience! I’ve learned a lot about desktops, laptops, and about different types of hardware and software. I look forward to the rest of the time I spend here and am eager to continue learning.

The thing I love most about working at Computers 4 Kids is giving away free desktops to families who really need them. I feel that it shows how important the program is to the community and it shows the huge impact it can make on the educational outcome of our students.

The staff at Computers 4 Kids are very friendly, hardworking, and respectful which makes working here a great experience.
